And those couple of words: “Friday 3 September 2004. As the siege at Beslan's No 1 school enters its third day” Could never be erased from my mind no matter how hard I tried..
And “331 killed, half of them were children..”
Around the clock I’ve been following the siege on TV, read newspapers, I’ve followed most of the played documentary programs on our screens.. and even watched the re-play over and over again. That was a tragedy I hate to ever happen again in any part of the world.
Let our fights be settled away from children..
Let our disagreements hide away from their delighted momentsAnd PLEASE solve the Chechnya’s problem.. before talking about terror..
At last, One quote a friend just told me, and rings a bell:
“the problem of good men they always have very low voice “

this is so sad, why do people do these things
I just saw a documentary on Deutsche Welle TV about the beslan tragedy. But IMO I think the most ones to blame are the Russian security forces. All what they wanted was to kill the terrorists not to release the hostages, resulting in this huge number of casualties from children.
They did the same clumzy move with the group that held hostages inside and Moscovan theater. They released posionous gases which resulted in killing the terrrorists along, of course, with most of the hostages.
It's merely a world ruled by stupidity.
It was a horrible day when we wake up on the morning and sew it in TV live on the air for five continues hours.
God bless our souls
I wonder how's & what the feelings of those involved. Tragic indeed
Remind me of the BG's Song
Tragedy
When the feeling's gone and you can't go on
It's tragedy
When you lose control and you got no soul
It's tragedy
When the morning cries and you don't know why
It's hard to bear

And PLEASE solve the Chechnya’s problem.. before talking about terror..
That is a part I don't agree with :(
injustice is never a reason for more blood, if we think they are murderers that is no reason to be like them!! I can't understand up to now why palestinians throw rockets on the israelis cities, this is something related to army and governemet not the innocent children :(
beslan !! how painful this was!!
PS: the quote had the honor to be in your blog ;)
Salam
I disagree with you freesoul, I do agree with you that Injustice doesn't justify shedding more blood, which means further injustice.
However, if we ignore the reasons behind injustice and don't solve the problems behind them, this would mean more terror and more injustice.
Regarding your comments about the palestinians. Why don't you mention the other side of the story also? Why does Israel bomb palestinian towns and civilian areas with 1 tonne bombs?
What does a 'Qassam' rocket (which is a mortar shell disguised as a missile) to a 1 tonne bomb.
Both sides need not to use violence, but how can this happen if Israel insists on not ending the occupation in Gaza and the West Bank.
mohammed_g,
I lived 21 years thinking the same way, but recently i understood that i was wrong !!
From 2 ways, first consider it as a religious matter, our orders is not to attack civilians, did qur'aan tell you under any condition to attack civilians ?? i am not agains palastinians when they attack the israeli soliders but agains them when they below up a bus!!
from another point of view, look from the side of humanity, what did the innocent jewish kid do !! moreover, the jewish kid in our religion (islam) is just like a muslim kid until he reach 13 where he become responsible!!
from the justice point of view, if your neighbor kill your son, do you kill his son or kill him? it is just the same, not because they attack our civilians we should do the same!! if he killed my son i will kill him, not the innocent kid he have !!
about the other comment i didn't say we shouldn't solve the initial problem or understand it, i said it shouldn't be bound together, you can't say terrorism will stop only when the land is restored, because both things are wrong start with your problem and mend your self and then turn to the other side!!
land won't return by terrorism, look back in history and you will understand that either a real revolution that directs its forces to the occupation forces not to the innocents or a real military work again directed to the forces
my friend I appreciate your feelings, they are our brothers but it is still our duty when we see our brothers on the wrong way to try to show them the right way, my heart bleeds everyday when i hear about iraq or palestine but i still can't agree what they do :(
lasto, you must want to kill me now :D
sorry but i couldn't help answering this you know how much i hate violence and how much i want to tell the message to everyone, just forgive me :)
Free soul: its OK.. i amglad that you and Mohamed had started that debat..
I am learning from different points of view.. :)
and if i may add my humble opinion, i'd say:
Palestinians are not terrorists, that’s to start..
secondly, i believe what is happening in Palestine is a legitimate resistance against the occupation. Since by any chance their aint a Palestinian army.
Free soul, what you’ve said about “the neighbor” example is a bit reasonable I believe. But still when it comes to the Israeli - Palestinian issue, I see things are different. There ain’t Palestine in the 1st place.. and at a time the world is turning against them.. I guess they should do anything to free their lands..
Killing kids any where is real horrible, disgusting and cruel act.. no matter if it’s a Palestinian kid or a Zimbabwean.. That’s the 1st rules in islam, YES indeed..
The point is, right now I agree with both of you Mohamed and Freesoul..
That issue is destined not to be solved
About Beslan - It was hard to see the memorial service, the grief was still so fresh and deep.
Blue - I see you have the spamming problem too. I turned on word verification yesterday, and I hope it doesn't reduce my number of comments !!! :(
So I turned it back off today, to see. In 4 minutes I got 4 spams, but then it stopped...
We'll see...
o ya.. spam is a real problem..
and i guess it won't decreas the number of your comments..
people who love you will comment and tell you their thoughts no matter what ;)
Actually, I do agree with you freesoul but. I think you misunderstood my comment about the palestinians. I said clearly in my first post that injustice does not justify terrorism and violence.
However, what made me write my comment was that you only mentioned what the palestinians did (The Qassam rocket thing), without mentioning what the Israelis did on the other side. I felt obliged to comment on this because all the hype is often about what the palestinians do, while on the other hand the media's attention to the Israelis attrocities -which happen on daily basis - is often non-existent. For example if Israeli tanks demolish palestinian homes, it's often not mentioned in the media AT ALL, while a suicide bombing on the other hand attracts all tyhe attention.
Sorry for my lengthy comment. :)
mohammed, thanks for clearing up things to me, it was all mis-understanding :)
The reason i mentioned palestinians was just to say that the day to mend our own way is not tomorrow and not now, it should be yesterday !! so we should start without binding it to any other act from any other part, and we then can fight as men and win the support of the whole world
Sorry lasto for burning the place in here, now leaving in peace again :)
Salam
Wow, things were heating up in here. Excuse my intrusion, but I just wanted to share my point of view. Actually, it is not that different from either Free Soul's or Mohammed's.
I for one thing can understand why the Palestinians are doing it (launching rockets on Israeli settlements). However, I do not justify it. I can understand how they feel and if you think about it, a person who has lost his (innocent) dear ones and can't even get near those who caused it (because they are well armed soldiers hiding behind their tanks and holding their weapons in their hands) will feel so much rage within. And at some time or the other this rage will pop up. What makes things even worse is that Israel fuels this rage by the daily actions of its army.
If there will ever be a solution to the problem, "both" parties must take part in it and do what they can to avoid heating things up (especially Israel). And if the Bee Gees said "Tragedy", Bob Marley said "Simmer Down".
P.S.
I agree with Mohammed that Russia has made too many clumzy moves in similar (and non-similar) situations and should revise its strategy and learn from its previous mistakes, otherwise we will hear of more tragedies in the future.
