Bits and pieces

Its 10 pm. *when I was writing this post* yet I made a strong cup of coffee and headed for my special place, in front of my baby Blue pc :)
I feel I need to have a rest for a while..
My mother has been terribly ill lately; she looks pale and lost the shimmer in her eyes. I feel awful for her while I am left paralyzed and can’t do anything to help. Of course, no need to say I have to do all the house work now.. Cleaning, washing, cooking… etc. in addition to I already missed two gorgeous outings with my fellow friends and the 3rd is coming on the way!

Yet tell you, I am not upset.. I don’t care about all these stuff and I can do even the double or zillion times more just to see my mother’s smiling pinkish face alive again. I truly love you mother.. I truly do..
My the Almighty help you get out of all that..

***

I’ll start my 7th semester next Saturday, and no matter what I said in the previous post, I am still hesitant which department to join. What to take as a major by God’s sack!
Should I go to “electronics and communications systems” or should I head for “network and information systems”???!
I have equal pros and cons for each, that would make me feel worst..
Its just couple of days left and I am sitting banging my head to the wall..
I like them both. If I can have the two majors together, I think I might have felt better. Yet what to do when its practically impossible..

***

I just watched bits and pieces of “
Fahrenheit 9/11
” and I deeply wish I could ever have the mail addresses or the emails for the relatives or loved ones of any American soldier died in Iraq. I sincerely wish to send them my condolences for what ever happened there. These people have been fooled by their president and fought for a lost case and for what!
Is it for the money or the oil or bargains that the rich going to be richer?!
Is it really liberty they’ve been fighting for?!
Or is it for making tomorrow a better place for them and their children after?!
Then answer me: why can’t they have peace and secure right at the moment!!! After all these years.. tell me where are the mass destruction weapons!

Do you still believe its all by “El Qa’ada” who did it?
I tell you myself.. No they are ever weaker to think about it in the 1st place.

You know we have a proverb in Arabic that talks about people.. when they lose everything, they like to show off..
And that is exactly the Qa’ada’s case.. they knew they lost everything, and they turned out to be useless and helpless creatures, so they are making things up, showing off what they have no hand in..

I despise them and I despise the American president as well..
Sorry Mr. Bush..
but sadly your people don’t even know they are fooled in a boring play ruled by your charming looks!!

Case closed.

Time to go… 73’s

First of all God bless your mother 'wa shafaha Allah wa 3afaha'.

Regarding your major thing, I'm sensing that you're oriented to IT. Well, the IT job market is a vey unique one here in Egypt, because what you major at or what you do almost doesn't count at all except in formalities (mainly because we're technology consumers not producers). You can find telecommunications engineers who are unemployed or doing something completely differnet from their majors and on the otherhand people who are successfully working in IT despite that they studied majors completely unrelated to IT.

My point is that in this field employers are looking for those who are knowledgeable and efficient despite of what their academic status is.

So I say you better go pray 'estekhara' and follow what your heart says.

I did watch Fahernheit 9/11 in the movie theatre, it was much more fun than watching it on AlJazeera :).

The movie was nice but I didn't like two things about it:
1-It sounded much as Democrats' propaganda

2- The part about the Saudis and the BinLadens. Michael Moore tried to picture it 9/11 as if it was a plot between the Bush admin. the BinLadens the Saudi royal family, and AlQaeda.
This part deliberately mixed between the Saudi people, the Saudi Royal family, thr BinLadens and OBL himself, he was dealing with them as if they were one united entity which sounded so pathetic.

Regarding AlQaeda thing, I have no doubt at all that AlQaeda was behing 9/11 and I see no point in trying to deny that because all parties concerned acknowledge that AlQaeda was behind it. However I don't think this was a justified reason to make Muslims all over the world feel threatened, it was no reason for Iraq war, and it was no reason to make the world much less safe to live in.

Hope your mother gets well very soon. About your major it is really up to you in the end. The choice is difficult, I know. Most of the students in the electronics engineering department at our faculty face the same tough decision, as is the case in almost all the other universities.

Everyone calculates it the way he/she sees fit. Some take the communications choice in order to catch oth sides of the stick. Others have one goal in their mind and want to specialize in it (um, I guess that was my case). Anyhow, as Mohammed said, the IT business over here is really mixed up (for many reasons). Having a very good background is very very important (many students ignore that and don't bother reading external material). However, I'd also argue that having a specialized degree in the field you want to work in is a plus.

And by the way, "sheryos" beat me to it, I don't think anybody sees Bush charming, not to mention a Mr. ;). It's not his charms that convince his citizens, it his ability to plant fear in the minds of those who are willing to be afraid. Even though he was described as the dumbest US president ever, I'd be honest and say that he is very good at taking advantage of people's weaknesses.

I've seen Fahrenheit 9/11 (on the PC I'm afraid), and the funniest scene in my opinion was the looks on Bush's face when he was informed about the tragic attacks while he was sitting at the school (don't get me wrong, I'm still against the attacks). What I really didn't like was that, like Mohammed said, Michael Moore's insistance on mixing the Saudis and the Bin Ladins. He was always implying that they might be the ones behind the attacks. Come on, people should start learning that before they accuse someone, they should have "solid" proof. Won't they ever learn?!

Currently, I'm in the middle of reading, I mean listening to (it is an audio book version), Michael Moore's book "Dude, where is my country?". One thing that really made sense from what he says is that Bush's claims that Saddam has connections to Osama are true lies. Osama hates Saddam because he was the one responsible for bringing the American soldiers to the Arabian peninsula by invading Kuwait. Other than constantly implying the Saudis, the book is a good read and is very logical in many thoughts until now.

Oops, not exactly a short comment...

Hi Blue - I like your new blog, but it is quite puzzling. It's not from Blogger is it?

Hopefully with all the advice your expert friends give you, you can decide on a major.

I pray God gives comfort to your mother.

Tota:
I'm glad u liked my humble blog :$
but I have already 3 blogs and a member in another 3 :D
but i don't understand what you mean exactly by "why you do"? is it for having more than one blog or for stopping my Arabic one.
anyways to answer both:
i am really busy lately, so i don’t have time to focus in all my blogs at one time. so i needed to quite one. and sadly i thought of quitting the Arabic blogging because simply i felt my writing curve had fallen down dramatically and i need to re-activate my energy.
so i thought of giving myself a break! :)

and about "why i have more than one blog"
each one got a different story to tell, and myself I prefer specialization above all..
if u tried to read my 1st posts on each blog, you probably would understand ;)

Mohamed_g:
I prayed este5ara now, and gladly I feel more relaxed and satisfied ;)
El7amd lelah
I wished to watch the movie in theater, but sadly I didn’t have time to catch it there..
Anyways, I totally respect your opinion. *I am not a got analyst :D *

Jia li:
Thanks
