I am living my worst dilemma ever...
With more and more novels shot for the screen, I don't know what I should do exactly.
Should I wait till I have the time to read all these novels? Or go ahead and finish the movie?
In my heart I refuse the 2nd option, as nothing compares with a good book. And at the same time, I don't know if I'll have the chance to read the book(s). Apart from being expensive, I have a list sufficient to keep me reading for at least a year and a half back to back nonstop.
So,
Books Vs. Movies..
Tell me, what should I do?

PS: That was after I read about the release of "Love in the Time of Cholera" for screen. The Garcia Marquez' novel, that was -unluckily- on my wish list..

Sometimes watching the film can push you to read the book and is a quick way of working out whether you want to read it.
Nooo, Arima.. I hate reading a book after watching it. It turns silly knowing the plot. Especially if I notice differences between the film and the book later on :(
And I like imagination... bas.. Have no time for all the books :(
it's a financial problem for me actually .
books are too expensive while i can get movies for free :)
even seeing it in the cinema costs only 10 LE.
so it's an easy choice .
but if i have the money and the time . I'll go for books
When in doubt, do (either)..
I think the optimum solution is reading the book first, but a movie is an acceptable shortcut too :)
It depends on the book really, I mean if its a classic, then read the book!
Have I made ur dilemma worse? :P
Anyways, you could always try the classical way: 7ady-bady
fdefinetly books first, books should be always come
first, its really nice to read the book then watch it,
ya i agree with u,i dont llike to read the book after
watching the movie, but sometime like to read the book after watching movie, like some books of nageeb mahfouz,i read once its little bit different.
so, the conclusion dear "the books always come first"
hope i helped that way.
Sometimes books are more interesting than movies ..
You want my advice, solicit opinions from whom you trust .. if they say movies are not up to the level .. you are pretty safe with readings ..
