Personal dilemma

You think using a wondering wireless connection in the air kind of stealing?
And what if, imagine what if, it’s a huge bandwidth, and probably your usage won’t exceed the 0.5% of it? And what if the guy (if its really a guy) is leaving it 24/7 and he’s not there.. you are totally alone.. and add to your imagination that you’re DSL cable is kind of short, so you’re not having the flexibility of move your notebook should grand?

Would you still call it stealing?!

I am into this dilemma these days. And yes, feel that I’m strongly stealing.. however tell me something.. if you ever got that kind of connection, why won’t you use it? Why would you buy such huge bandwidth and leave it to the open?
Someone told me its like enjoying the cassette playing in the other car sitting beside you in a traffic jam.. or even the high speakers from your neighbors flat.

Tell me, what you think? And take it on the larger scale.. when u say its stealing and when not…

I leave my wireless connection open so that other people (strangers) can use it, I know many who do so.

IMO the ethical thing to do with excess bandwidth is to share it, that's the best way to provide access to everyone on earth.
the ethical dilemma then becomes "what if this particular person did not intend to share?"

well to me if I find a water tap with cups facing the street and available for me to use, I'll assume it is a sabil explicitly made for sharing water unless it is clearly indicated otherwise. IE it makes sense since it is easy to protect the water tap to default to the assumption of sharing.

does the analogy make sense? dunno ethical questions are never easy no matter how trivial they are, just make sure not to eat all the bandwidth.

lol ya alaa

"sabil explicitly made for sharing"
in this case u will need to add a radio wave in the bandwidth

bandwidth al ma3'for laho bizn ilah el 7ag ..... nsa2lkom el do3a2 we ziart mawk3o 3la www...........

"unless it is clearly indicated otherwise"
in this case add the lady voice saying

Ask yourself, not your parents...Ask your heart, not blogger...and the decision that makes your heart comfort.

that's the first time someone tells me yes my mom and dad agree with you. WOW

BTW my sabil analogy was a very serious one.

we must admit that taking any thing that doesn't belong to us without permission is steeling.
But in cases of cyber word and tansmittion I always see the air belongs to every one so no one can use it to his own purposes.
then any immetion in the air is for every body because it uses some of our air.
